Wednesday, July 28 - Day 45 - 86.1 Miles - 3415 Total Miles

Today, I am going to get caught up on some pictures....so, just the straight-up facts about today's ride. We started about 20 miles west of Berea (where we got 6+ inches of rain last night) and ended at Buckhorn Lake State Park Resort Lodge, 86 miles later. We are officially in Appalachia Country. There were some short rolling hills and some long, steep climbs. There were stretches of light traffic and one stretch of traffic that was the worst of the trip thus far. There were some dog pursuits. We seemed to chase rain clouds all day. The road was always wet with puddles, but we only got rained on for less than 5 minutes. We are heading out tomorrow for another mid 80 mile day.

The Old Talbot Tavern where Kim and I dined in Bardstown

I thought this was interesting

Kim was inspired by the tobacco fields. She picked herself up some RedMan at the next gas station. She has been spitting everywhere.
